For May's session, our Creative Influencers returned to HOME to continue developing their animation project. They continued recording with stop-motion techniques and practiced using both digital and physical drawing in their animations. They explored lettering techniques for creating moving text and brought elements from previous weeks into new compositions and scenes. They also heard the polished audio of their narration for the animation. This was written by them and recorded in their last session at Z-arts.

They are preparing to showcase their work as part of Creative Culture Month, MADE’s first showcase of the fantastic creative learning experiences that are taking place across the city. Read the blog below for more information.

As well as this, they had a mini consultation with Mandi from the Home Education department at the University of Manchester. Mandi visited to ask the Creative Influencers for their help in developing a cultural learning app for home learning. They will play a vital role in helping to test the app and give feedback to the team behind it!

The Creative Influencers are a group of young people who meet monthly in different arts & culture venues to develop their creative skills and contribute their perspectives to MADE’s activity. They meet with cultural leaders and staff to discuss how arts and cultural venues can be made more accessible for young people whilst developing future project ideas for the group.

If you would like to learn more about the group or know a young person that might enjoy it, please get in contact with us at mademcr@z-arts.org.
