About MADE

Jo is an experienced education and programme leader with over 25 years in mainstream education, specialising in creative arts, cultural partnerships, and workforce development. As Director of Creative Arts in a large, diverse Manchester school, Jo led strategic curriculum reform, embedding inclusive and innovative approaches that increased participation and attainment in the arts.

Jo has extensive experience in workforce development, having led Initial Teacher Training and Continuing Professional Development programmes, alongside their role as an AQA senior moderator and trainer. 

Alongside their role at MADE, they are a Programme Manager for Comino Foundation, working across North West schools in areas of significant disadvantage, designing and delivering programmes that use creativity to drive school improvement, student engagement, and system-wide change.

Jo also contributes to sector-wide strategy through membership of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Art, Craft & Design, represented MADE on Manchester City Council’s 10-year Cultural Strategy Steering group, supporting the development of policy and long-term investment in arts and education.

Hannaa is a multifaceted engagement curator and creative practitioner specialising in cultural education, with experience in community and youth engagement, project management, and partnership working. 

Her experience spans working on cultural education projects across a range of organisations over the past decade, within different regions in the UK – from Yorkshire to the Midlands. She has previously held positions with The Mighty Creatives, the University of Leeds, and The Hepworth Wakefield amongst others. 

Her continued work in this area with MADE is underpinned by a drive to increase access to arts and culture for children and young people and a belief that the arts should be open to all. In her spare time, she moonlights as an artist.
