The group took a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic theatre, learning how productions are brought to life. A highlight was discovering how the technical team is literally making it rain on stage for the current performance of Singin’ in the Rain. Students also explored the rich history of the building and its role in Manchester’s cultural landscape.

The day ended with a creative workshop led by poet Tom Stocks, aka The Chubby Northerner. Through writing and discussion, participants explored collaboration in practice, learning how to hold different viewpoints while debating ideas with respect and openness. The session encouraged confidence, creativity and thoughtful leadership, leaving the group inspired for what comes next.
