Each pair of young people from our different schools chose different experiences that they wanted to share with their peers, and spent some time reflecting on their cultural experiences and on the responsibility of spending the micro-grant.

Read on to hear from one of the students from St Paul's Catholic High School about having a tour and audition masterclass at the Palace Theatre with 22 students:

How did you spend the money?

I spend the money on a drama theatre trip. We got a backstage tour with information about the building and its history. We then did an audition workshop where we sung and acted out a script.

Why did you choose to do this activity?

I choose this trip because I felt it would be a good group activity where we can learn from the experience and that it would also be something fun to do after our school mock exams. It was a fun experience to do something different.

What areas of creative leadership did your activity cover?

Our activity covered different areas that we looked over during the MADE Creative Leadership Programme, including: creativity and communication.

What did you enjoy about the activity?

I enjoyed that everyone joined in and that they were up for trying something different in the workshop and everyone was confident in taking part. I enjoyed the tour - it was interesting to hear about how different shows are put on.

How has your experience as Creative Leaders helped you make decision leading to this activity?

The Creative Leadership Programme helped me to choose where I wanted to go, and it also gave the confidence to choose who and what group was going on.
