MADE Creative Leadership Programme: Connecting Manchester’s Creative Educators

In the busy world of teaching, finding time to step out of the classroom and connect with colleagues is remarkably rare. That’s why a recent gathering of local art educators at Our Lady’s RC High School felt so special!

Brought together through the MADE Creative Leadership Programme, teachers from across Manchester came under one roof to share ideas, learn from each other, and celebrate their students' work.

The room was full of creativity as attendees brought along fantastic GCSE student work spanning textiles, arts and crafts, and photography. It was a wonderful opportunity to swap tips on how to guide students through their sketchbooks and help projects resolve to a final outcome.

Just as valuable was the chance to get to know how different departments run in neighbouring Manchester schools, creating a supportive local network where teachers can lean on one another.

Everyone left inspired, full of ideas, and thoroughly having enjoyed the catch-up. Thanks to the success of the session, plans are already in the works for the next get-together!

A huge thank you to the Art and Photography Department at Our Lady’s RC High School for hosting this get together!
