In this activity, pupils are challenged to produce wallpapers, inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.
Pupils will explore the movement and the work of prominent and local black 20th century artists using MADE's other BLM resources. Using these as inspiration, pupils will develop their ideas and experiment with different visual art techniques to produce large-scale wallpapers for display.
The activity outline is not prescriptive and can be adapted to suit the levels of your pupils, the resources and time that you have available,and to align with your classroom studies. The activity also allows for plenty of self-guided learning and encourages pupils to find their own access-points into the topic.
